I use NEI prescribe daily and go to NEI conference annually and supplement other teachings and conferences from Harvard and ASAM.
Reading medical Journals
I use "UpToDate" application to keep myself updated.
I take the most pressing issue at hand, turn to a search engine and look up "latest in" or clinical guidelines for [specific topic]. Dr. Google is always a helpful starting point and some of the AI material can be useful too. I tell my self I don't have to know everything but I need to know where to go and what to ask for!
Stay cool and alert to all not expected patient problem
Review my counseling board updates. Research and review therapies and techniques associated with specific treatment modalities and therapies. Attend various educational trainings both in person and on line.
My primary area of practice is cardiology and telemetry. A subscription to Medscape and to American Heart Association keep me on top of my game. I also research latest trends in cancer treatments. I worked in a capacity of cardio nurse in an oncology floor. There was a concern about chemotherapeutic treatment v. Cardiac adverse events. I was hired to keep an eye on patients at risk for developing heart issues while receiving chemo tx at bedside. Educating these patients was also part of my duties, especially at discharge. Although I did not administer chemo infusions, I learned a good deal about the chemotherapy agents, as well as reinforced my knowledge on how to manage cancer pain more efficiently.
